Following breakfast, your personal tour guide will bring you to the Giza Plateau where you will see the Great Pyramids of Cheops, Chefren, Mycerinus, and the world famous Sphinx. Each of these sites are believed to vary between six thousand and thirteen thousand years old, making them a true sight to behold.
After this you will visit the Egyptian Museum along with the treasure room for the child king Tutankhamen.
Finish breakfast and you will be ready to begin your great Egyptian adventure. You will first stop in the town of Babastis, now known as Tel-Basta. Here, Jesus gushed forth a spring of water to drink. You will see the holy well, and then visit ancient Philippos (Belbeis). Here the three rested beneath a tree which came to be known as The Virgin Maryطs Tree, which is now at Saint George Church.
You will then go back to Cairo and have lunch at a local restaurant. After this, head back to your hotel and stay overnight in Cairo.
Before you start out on your next adventure you will enjoy breakfast at your Cairo Hotel, and then make the 140 Km trip to Sakha. Here you will visit the renowned Virgin Mary Church, and then on to see the foot print of Jesus Christ.
Once you are done you will transfer to Samanoud where the holy family crossed the Nile River to Samanoud inside the Delta. The people here were kind to the holy family, and as such received the blessing of Jesus Christ. Nearby is Saint Abanoub Church which features the famous holy well. Take lunch in Tanta city on the way back, and stay overnight in Cairo.
Finish breakfast and meet your guide to visit Wadi Natroun, the desert area believed to be blessed by Jesus Christ himself. It is believed that the Virgin Mary and her son hid in the valley during their sojourn to Egypt, and Jesus blessed the four directions of the valley. That being the case, it is thought to be one of the most famous valleys in Egypt. It is also believed to be the home of asceticism and worship, and there are still four monasteries around today.
After visiting the four monasteries, you can enjoy lunch and head back to Cairo for another overnight stay.
Have breakfast in your Cairo hotel, and then accompany your guide to various Cairo churches including: The Hanging Church, Church of St. Sergius, Church of St. George, and Fortress of Babylon in Old Cairo.
From here you will go to Mostorod to see the Virgin Mary Church, the Holy Well, and other hotspots that the Holy Family visited. Stay overnight in Cairo.
You will start the day by having breakfast in your Cairo hotel, and then you will move on to the Holy Family Trip to South Egypt. It is believed that the Holy Family moved south in a boat on the Nile river in the same area where the church of Holy Mary now stands. Following in their footsteps you will move south to El Minya about two and a half hours. Overnight in Minya at the wonderful Nefertiti Hotel.
You will have breakfast at your Minya hotel, and then continue onward, following in the footsteps of Jesus, Mary, and Joseph. Your next stop will be the White Monastery, built in 400 AD by St. Senouda. At one time, the White Monastary actually housed more than 2000 monks! You will also visit the Monastery of the Holy Virgin at Al Quisiya, which housed the Holy Family for more than six months.
You will continue your trip by heading to Luxor, stopping at the Dendara Temple in Qena to see the Temple of Hathor, goddess of love and joy. Stay overnight in Luxor at the up market Sonesta St. George Hotel.
You will have breakfast at your Luxor Hotel, at which point you will be transferred to board your luxurious Nile cruise. You will be accompanied in the afternoon for your tour of the East Bank of the Nile in Luxor. You will see the Karnak and Luxor Temples, then return to the ship for afternoon tea and dinner.
Following breakfast you will transfer to the West Bank so that you can see the Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut Temple, and of course the Colossi of Memnon.
Once you are done sightseeing (though that is a rather lighthearted way to describe the experience) you will transfer back to your ship for afternoon tea/lunch while sailing to Edfu.
Before you visit the Horus Temple at Edfu you will enjoy a magnificent breakfast on board, and then return for lunch as you sail to Kom Ombo. As you arrive you will visit the temple that two Gods, Sobek and Haroeris called home. You will then continue your voyage to Aswan with dinner onboard.
You will pay an amazing visit after breakfast to the Aswan High Dam, the Unfinished Obelisk, and of course the Philae Temple. After your tour you will return to the ship for lunch, have dinner on board, and spend the night in Aswan.
You will have breakfast onboard once again, and then you will disembark from your cruise ship at around 08h00. From here on out you have some free time, and if you wish, you can tour one of Egypt’s top attractions: "The Abu Simbel Temple": This temple was originally carved from the mountainside during the reign of Pharaoh Ramses II during the 13th century BC.
After you take in this incredible sight you will be transferred to the Aswan railway station for an overnight journey to Cairo on board a sleeper train where you will dine and spend the night in a private compartment.
In the morning you will have breakfast onboard the sleeper train preceding your arrival at the Giza train station in Cairo. Here you will be met by your tour representative, and taken to the 5-Star Mena House Hotel where you will have the day to yourself. If you wish, you can take an optional trip to the Step Pyramid of King Zoser.
You've stood before Pharaohs; ventured into tombs and strolled through temples. You’ve explored ancient cities frozen in time, and you've followed in the footsteps of prophets, but unfortunately, today marks the end of your dream vacation. Enjoy a fine breakfast at your hotel, and then we’'ll take you to the airport for your flight back home. Say farewell to Egypt, and take to the skies.
